We're a startup with modest sales and no major investors. But from the outset, we've been committed to making a tangible difference. That's why we've launched The Elixer Foundation. A testament to our values in action.

Meet Tony

Tony is a university student from the Philippines. Facing immense financial pressure due to his father's illness and his mother's inability to work, Tony was struggling to support his family while pursuing his education.

Desperate for income, Tony turned to Reddit, offering his services for $3 an hour. In a country where the minimum wage is approximately $11.00 per day, or about $1.38 per hour, his offer was more than double the local minimum wage.

We saw Tony's post and recognised his determination. Without requesting a test or resume, we brought him onto our design team, paying him upfront and trusting in his potential.

When we learned about his challenges in affording tuition, we stepped in to cover his college fees. This support wasn't about charity. it was about investing in someone who embodies the resilience and dedication we value.

Before I found Elixer, I was on Reddit, desperately looking for work. I posted that I’d work for just $3 an hour. Then I found Rowan, well he found me! He offered me a job at their startup and paid me upfront before I even did any work. He believed in me when I didnt.

Around the same time, life became overwhelming. My dad got seriously ill. My mom had to stop working to care for him. We had no income. I was studying during the day and working at night, but it wasn’t enough. The stress, pressure, and hopelessness built up so much that I became suicidal.

But they kept showing up. Encouraging me. Checking in. Helping cover my college fees when I couldn’t manage. That support gave me something I’d been missing, hope.

Because of Elixer, I finished my first year. And I’m not stopping now.
